Dario is the General Counsel of Precision BioSciences. He comes to Precision from Genentech, where he spent over six years supporting their hematology programs, including their cancer immunotherapy and hemophilia pipelines. Dario provided legal and compliance guidance at multiple stages from development to commercial and medical affairs. At Precision, he manages the legal and compliance function for the entire organization, advising on all aspects of Precision’s business, including corporate governance, SEC reporting, manufacturing, development, HR, business development, facilities, and compliance.

Dario received his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, and he clerked for Judge James L. Dennis on the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans. Over a law career spanning more than 20 years, he has worked in both corporate transactional law and patent litigation at three national law firms, specializing in healthcare law at Genentech and Elan Pharmaceuticals. When Dario is not helping companies bring innovative new drugs to market, he can be found enjoying time with his wife and two young sons, sampling Durham’s restaurants, and trying to will the Cal Golden Bears to a Rose Bowl for the first time since 1959.
