Job Description:
The Project Manager is a key member of the Precision BioSciences’ growing Gene Therapy efforts that utilize the Company’s proprietary ARCUS genome editing platform to develop therapeutic programs. The successful candidate will work with the internal team to develop and implement therapeutic programs in collaboration with external partners. The person will work with contract research organizations (CROs), academic institutions or other biotechnology companies to implement studies required for the various programs. He or she will have primary responsibility with respect to execution and operational planning of the studies and will be integral in the design, analysis and interpretation of these collaborative studies. Primary responsibilities will include:
- Leading implementation of gene therapy studies across cross-functional teams
- Helping develop gene therapy program strategies for specific programs
- Assist in devising, analyzing and interpreting complex experiments to support Gene Therapy projects
- Will need to represent Precision BioSciences with partners, potential partners and CROs
Job Requirements:
- Doctoral degree (MD or Ph.D.) or equivalent with a minimum of five years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated scientific achievements such as publications and documented project successes
- Ability and experience to successfully manage projects
- Ability and experience to work collaboratively with partners and CROs
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents
- Ability to effectively communicate information, written or orally to external stakeholders
- Ability to write reports or publications that conform to prescribed style and format
- Ability to review complex problems and provide solutions
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and project management software
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Flexibility to perform the small tasks as well as the big tasks while working in a rapidly developing environment.
- Industry and IND-enabling study experience is a plus
- Experience with viral vectors is a plus
