Mike Nicholson, Ph.D.

Vice President, Research & Development

Mike Nicholson earned his Ph.D. in molecular biology and genetics from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and his B.S. in chemistry from SUNY Brockport. One of the first Precisioneers, Mike contributed early work at the company that established key techniques and methods for utilizing ARCUS technology in mammalian cells and laid the groundwork for our current human therapeutic programs. In his current role, Mike works with the CSO to develop R&D strategies and manage internal programs. Additionally, Mike enjoys creating budgetary dilemmas for our COO by repeatedly identifying the “last” piece of really expensive equipment. When Mike isn’t in the office, he is either playing with his kids or at his local Crossfit gym.
